Blogspiration is a Brand Spankin' New weekly meme hosted by both GrowingUp YA and Saz101. The meme was created to help spark inspiration among bloggers, readers and writers alike. An inspirational quote/picture/video is posted weekly, on the day of the author's choosing, so that it may inspire creativity, conversation and just a little SOMETHING.

This blogspiration is so far overdue I can't even believe it. But ten is a special number, and when I read Faye's post this morning about Alice in Wonderland and the Cheshire Cat, I remembered the quotes I've been collecting about my biggest earthly obsession.
Walt Disney
So the following are some of my all-time favourites that bring the biggest smile to my face every time I hear or read them. So without further ado, hopefully these will make you smile too :)
Do not be fooled
by its commonplace appearance. Like so many things, it is not what’s outside,
but what is inside that counts.
~Aladdin~
Even miracles
take a little time
~Cinderella~
If I had a world
of my own, everything would be nonsense.
~Alice in Wonderland~
I’m afraid so,
you’re entirely bonkers. But I’ll tell you a secret, all the best people are.
~New Alice in Wonderland~
But she warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for
beauty is found within.
~Beauty and the Beast~
To die would be an awfully big adventure.
~Peter Pan~
Oh, the cleverness of you.
Never is an awfully long time.
~Peter Pan~
But they say if you dream a thing more than once, it's
sure to come true.
~Sleeping Beauty~
Giving up is for rookies.
~Hercules~
If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a
hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you.
~Winnie the Pooh~
Life is no a spectator sport. If watching is all you’re
going to do, then you’re going to watch your life go by without you.
~Hunchback of Notre Dame~
Oh yes. The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can
either run from it, or learn from it.
~The Lion King~
What if it's not everything I dreamed it would be?
It will be.
And what if it is? What do I do then?
Well, that's the good part I guess. You get to go find a new dream.
~Tangled~
So what about you guys? Are there any Disney quotes (Don't even have to make sense) that you guys remember whenever you're sad, happy, having a rough time?
Oh! I love the one of Lion King!! <3 <3 And the one of Notre Dame!! Well, I love them all :P Great blogspiration Heather!
ReplyDeleteYep, this definitely made me smile. :-)
ReplyDeleteBelle from Beauty and the Beast was always my favourite Disney princess when I was little(she was a brunette who loved books, JUST LIKE ME!)
Can't think of any particular favourite quotes off the top of my head, but I do love the "You're entirely bonkers" one.
OMG! These are all such BEAUTIFUL quotes. And each one is soooo inspiring! You have like A YEAR'S WORTH of blogspiration on this post alone!
ReplyDeleteI am bookmarking this page because as soon as I get home, I am saving all of those quotes! They definitely made me smile!
I love Disney :D
:0 All these wonderful quotes from these disney movies made me smile! Especially the one from Notre Dame!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Disney quote is from my favorite disney song which is from my favorite Disney movie - Mulan!!!
"Let's get down to business, to defeat, the Huns."
Have a fantastic day Heather!
I love Mulan too! I can't believe I don't have a quote up there from her... My favourite princess was always Belle, but I gave Jasmine her time too. I mean, she had her own tiger! Like, what the hell?! Pretty jealous.
ReplyDeleteAnd Kristin, I have more Disney blogspirations to come. It takes me back to my childhood and if that kind of nativity and happiness isn't inspirational, I don't know what is!
Did you know that none of Disney's employees were allowed to have moustaches? Can't imagine why you'd care, but... fun fact!
ReplyDeleteCan't remember if I heard that from a reliable source or not...
Great post!
PETER PAN <3
ReplyDeleteI'm currently in the middle of reading it, and my gosh - I'm just *waiting* for the "to die would be an awfully big adventure" quote.
I watched Sleeping Beauty recently and I actually don't remember that quote. But then again, it hasn't been all that recently and I wasn't really looking out for it.
And the first Alice in Wonderland one? Pure genius. I have a list of things I want to tack all over my bedroom walls one day, and that quote is going on that list. As is the Hercules one.
And finally - reading all this reminds me that I *really* need to rewatch a bunch of Disney movies.
- May :)
Sophie - I hope that's true! Only Disney could get away with something as random and eccentric as that!
ReplyDeleteMay - Peter Pan was never a favourite as a kid, but I love it now. I especially love the most recent remake with Jason Isaacs as Hook. And as much as it pains me to say, I've never read the book! *ducks*
And rewatching of Disney movies should ALWAYS be a must!
Aw, Heather, you're giving me tingles *tears up*
ReplyDeleteI've ALWAYS loved Alice's 'If I had a world of my own...' and Peter Pan's 'to die' is heartbreaking and amazing and fills me with wonder... and makes me think of Dumbeldore's 'to the well organised mind, death is but the next big adventure.'
Can't tell you how much love ALL of these ♥
Oh, I love the Pooh quote! <333!
ReplyDeleteI love Disney stuff, 100%. In fact, I'm an Eeyore fanatic. I have a collection of Eeyore stuff, including a HUGE stuffed Eeyore in my living room. :D
I actually thought of that quote, Sarah. There's a lot in Harry Potter (and YA in general) that can be linked back to Disney. It's great.
ReplyDeleteAnd I used to have so many Eeyore toys too! He's just so darn cute! I wish I'd used some of his quotes as well because he has some awesome ones!
Serious nerdgasm going on here...I LOVE LOVE LOVE Disney. Disney is epic. I have a whole playlist devoted to it on my ipod. When I was younger, I LIKED the classics like Lion King and Beauty and the Beast. Now I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. This was awesome.
