Blogspiration: We're all mad here...

Blogspiration is a Brand Spankin' New weekly meme hosted by both GrowingUp YA and Saz101. The meme was created to help spark inspiration among bloggers, readers and writers alike. An inspirational quote/picture/video is posted weekly, on the day of the author's choosing, so that it may inspire creativity, conversation and just a little SOMETHING.

This week the awesome Kristin wanted us to answer the following from Darling It's True's Tumblr:

Wow, to narrow it down. I've been thinking about this all week and my list is fricken huge! So many hot/talented/wonderous people out there that I had serious problems picking seven. So yes, there are people left off, but this is my list. For now.

1. Nate Ruess (lead singer of FUN).
2. Richelle Mead
3. Johnny Depp
4. Will Farrell
5. Jennifer Lawrence
6. J.K. Rowling
7. Tim Burton

It shall be an UN-birthday party and oh, the fun we will have!

Because even miracles take a little time...

A lot of you guys will know that I've been very busy planning a wedding that seems both so close and so far. The planning has been fun but at this point, I'm ready for it to just be over and done with already. You seriously don't realise how much effort planning a wedding is, especially when you're trying to make everyone else happy (not to mention when your family is waring). Some of you know the feeling and some of you will experience it soon - to those people, I wish you luck.

Honestly though, there are some days I wish I had done what my friend did and said STUFF IT ALL, and just... eloped.

Then there are days like today where I actually get excited again.

My wonderful bridesmaid Rebecca is more than gifted with creativity and has helped a huge amount with the planning. She designed some stuff I never would have thought of and has gone out of her way to find and make the most amazing order of services for me. I thought I would share below as I know a lot of you will appreciate the fantabulousness as well. These are just the initial rough copies but with the wax seal and right paper... yeah, they're going to be perfect.

The red wax seal will go above these little guys' heads

The wording of the invites <3

Planning a wedding can and should be fun but it's super easy to get caught up in the stress. It's these little details that remind me the wedding is about ME and THE BOY - no one else. Because I know some people will see these as 'gimmicky' or 'immature' but I'm not doing it for those people. I'm doing it for me.

And I love them.

Oh, the cleverness of you...

This post is a little one to pay dedication to some of my favourite books ever. A little ode to the author, if you will. I read a lot (not as much as some of you) and I guess I just wanted to go back over some of those books that have stuck with me no matter how many others I read. And I'm procrastinating, but let's not dwell on that.
It's these clever authors that really inspire me to write more.

First up, and I think it goes without saying, would have to be Harry Potter:
None in particular because it's impossible to chose between them. I grew up with these books, right from when I was eleven and desperately awaiting my Hogwarts letter too. It gave me my first real dose of disappointment. It showed me that it really is possible to fall in love with completely fictional characters and when something bad happens to them, it feels like it's happened to you too. There will never be enough words, memes, or movies that could possibly explain the amount of love these books gave me.

My next favourite series would be by the fabulous Richelle Mead. Really, anything of hers is absolutely amazing but you can't get past the love between Rose and Dimitri.

I just... can't even. This series is heartbreaking, full of love and REAL. The chemistry, the adventure, the plot twists, and the nail-biting resolution. Amazing. If I had to chose a favourite out of the series I'd say by the tiniest fraction of an inch, it would be Frostbite. ALL of the books Mead writes are amazing but there was just something about that one that makes me remember...

A new favourite of mine is by the fabulous Marissa Meyer. I seriously thought there was no bloody way I would even like this book but it hooked me in.

Even the cover is awesome-sauce. There is so little I can say that can do Meyer credit but here is my review. The two words that take this book from friend-zone to pure love are Cinder and Kai. They even give Rose and Dimitri a run for their money. But with all the scorching romance and tension, there is an actual storyline with some delicious secondary characters  as well.

The second last book I'm going to mention is only the second book I've given 5/5 to.

It seriously blew me away that I could love this book so much. I mean, the storyline was just so cliched, and THE COVER, blah. But it soon became clear that the characters were so damn real, and the love triangle so not obvious. Full review is here but pretty much all you need to know is that the second book isn't out for over a year so read with caution.

The last I'd like to mention is a form of insta-love that just worked.

It was short, it was sweet, and I finished it in one sitting. I loved that it was a stand alone, and I loved that even though I don't remember the exact specifics, I remember the warm, fuzzy, love that flowed through me when I was done. The cover was my screensaver forever just so whenever I saw it, it would make me smile.

Well that's the list off the top of my head. Just a little post to share some of my love for these titles around. If you haven't read any of them yet - what are you waiting for? I am pretty confident you won't regret it.

So what are some of your favourites? I am always looking out for some awesome new titles and authors that I haven't stumbled on yet.

And if you guys have time, you totally should try a post like this. It's crazy how the feelings you had when you read a book come back to you when you start thinking about it. If you already have a post like this, leave a link so I can check it out!

Lastly, any titles I left out that I totally shouldn't have?

WOO! I'm Back! I have the internet, I have photoshop, and I'm actually required to MAKE A BLOG and learn the boring stuff about it for uni! Yay!

Hence, the new look. FINALLY. My blog actually looks kind of professional until you get to, you know, the actual blog.

Anywho! First blog back and what better way to kick start than a BLOGSPIRATION!

So personally, things haven't been the greatest at the moment. Sicknesses in the family, totally FULL ON at work, and even though I'm only taking two uni classes they are already intense. Not to mention I feel SO behind on this wedding planning stuff. But there have been good things too. The Boy and I have our own house that is all pretty and painted and decorated. We both have awesome families that are helping us out with the finances, I'm actually enjoying uni, I have an amazing wedding dress and friends, AND once the wedding is over; I GET TO PLAN MY EUROPEAN HONEYMOON!

And that's what's keeping me going, what's keeping me looking forward.

PARIS <3

My dream hotel, 'The Crillon'. If you haven't memorised the rooms in this baby, you NEED TO NOW. Seriously, this hotel is defined as 'Supreme Luxury'. And die.

Le sigh. Arc du Triomphe is just so pretty! If only I could speak French, I'd be all over this bad boy.

And of course, this will be The Boy and I. Being all cute and romantic and just having SO MUCH FUN.

So even though the HM is still a while away, I can't help the daydreaming. It gets me through the day, the stress, and puts a great big smile on my face. I'm also hoping to head to the Greek Islands and Spain which I'm sure will be amazing but Paris has always been the place for me. And since I've finished Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins (thank you to everyone who recommended that book) my obsession with The City of Lights has exploded to a whole other level.

How about you guys? Is there someone in the world that you imagine when things get rough?

Do you do Wordpress?

Totally for uni, but I have to make a Wordpress account. It has to be based around where I see myself at the end of my degree. It will be a totally fictional account of myself as an awesome producer who's all professional and shiz but I still want to make it fun.

If any of you guys have wordpress can you help me out? I'm not really sure how to go about the whole things and I'd totally love you guys to give me a push in the right (fun) direction. Feel free to make a completely different person to be if you feel the need to comment.

I want to make it fun, I want to make it a page where 'industry professionals' go to hang out. It's going to be a laugh and I'll love you guys to join in.

Also, I'm not sure how blogger/wordpress go together but can you still comment on each other's blogs? I'm thinking yes but I really haven't looked into it too much.

This is my WIP page if anyone is interested:

So what do you write?

I don't know about you other writers out there, but this question has a huge affect on me. As soon as I hear it the room shrinks, every sound disappears, every face in front of me blurs, and each beam of light refocuses on me.

Then it comes time for an answer;

and I just...

freeze...

up.

I don't think I need to explain how ridiculous it is to say you're a writing and then be lost for words. I get 'that look'. The one that says 'well-good-for-you-deary-but-you're-clearly-a-deluded-twat-and-I'm-far-to-nice-and-sane-to-say-anything-to-you-I'm-sure-I'll-look-for-you-on-the-shelves-ha-ha-HA'.

Well la-de-bloody-dah.

Does this happen to any of you guys? Is there ever a time it comes to doing something you should be pretty darn good at and just can't explain why you aren't?

And have any of you writers ever faced the So what do you write? question and actually found a way to answer it?

After writing for a fair few years you'd think this kind of thing would be a piece of cake. It probably should be. But I still...

freeze...

up.
